Our Story: From Then to Now
Dr. Jeffrey T. Meister is the founding dentist of Distinctive Dentistry & Orthodontics in Munster and Westville. Our one-chair practice opened its doors to serve the community on October 18, 1988.
Today, our evolution into a multi-office practice, which now includes locations in Munster and Westville, offers 50 dental suites. Among these, 8 are specialized surgical suites dedicated to advanced procedures like dental implants, grafting, and oral surgery. Additionally, 10 suites are tailored specifically for “just for kids” dentistry, ensuring children receive specialized care in a comfortable and calming setting, while 16 suites focus on orthodontics to help patients achieve their best smiles.

At Distinctive Dentistry & Orthodontics, our office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enhance your dental experience. Our practice is fully digital, offering same-day dentures, crowns, inlays, and onlays using advanced CEREC technology. To ensure precise diagnostics, we provide on-site CT 3D imaging for superior radiography.
As a family-centric practice, we are devoted to providing the best possible care through general dentistry, IV sedation and general anesthesia options, pediatrics/children’s special needs dentistry, orthodontics (including braces and aligner therapy), cosmetic dentistry, and comprehensive oral surgery services. Our oral surgery procedures cover everything from dental implants to wisdom teeth extractions and bone grafting.
For added convenience, we are in-network with most dental insurance plans and offer financing options, striving to provide accessible, high-quality dental care for everyone.
